About Us
Edmonds
Christian Church
is a vibrant church full of individuals
and
families that enjoy fellowship together. We offer warmth, openness, and
freedom to those seeking to understand and follow Jesus Christ. We are
a Bible-based church. We also value the use of reason and experience in
interpreting scripture. We live together by covenant and mutual
understanding rather than law and decree.
We
are located in the south of
Snohomish
County, Washington, in the
City
of Edmonds.
It's an easy drive from anywhere in the Seattle area. We are located
approximately 3 miles from downtown Edmonds, and only 17 miles from
downtown Seattle!
At
9:30 we start our Sunday School program. This is a well rounded time
meeting in small groups in all age groups. As Greater Seattle is a very
diversified mix of people from many different cultures and backgrounds,
these small groups allow our families to choose different study levels
more effectively. YOU can fit in easier with more choices and participate
more freely than in large structured organizations.
Our
10:45 a.m. service features a children's moment in the main sanctuary for
our families children age 12 and younger. This is a lighter time and many
times the youngsters will respond to questions with revelations about
their brothers or sisters. Frequently our pastor, Dr. Glenn Nestlerode
will have short interactive sessions to emphasize a particular point. Upon
completion of this time youngsters first grade and up remain in worship;
infants to kindergarten may go to the nursery. We also have a dynamic
choir that performs at this service and periodically performs special
programs for our service.
A nursery
is available for infants and preschool children and there is a crying room
on the west side of the sanctuary.
We gather for
Communion at each of our worship services and conclude each worship
service with an Invitation to join our fellowship.
